Michigan has a variety of free tax preparation services available to assist you with your taxes.

Residents of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Livingston counties can go to Accounting Aid Society tax preparation sites for free, in addition to the other sites listed above.

Eligibility Guidelines

Individuals with annual houshold incomes of $20,000 or less and families with annual houshold incomes of $42,000 or less.

Several sites operate on a first come first served basis, but other sites require appointments as noted. Seniors and those physically unable to visit a tax site can use our (Accounting Aid Society) mail in service.

Senior Citizens also have a number of AARP sponsored free Tax-Aide preparation sites available.
